ORIGAMI

Here are some examples of my latest design, the POINSETTIA STAR. It's a fairly simple design, using 16 interlocking units of kite bases and diamond bases. It's also very flexible, capable of using various sizes and colours of paper. Here are the instructions for the POINSETTIA STAR

Folding kite bases a different way yields this...

White Kite bases on one side, different coloured diamond bases on the other...

Flipped over, multicoloured diamond bases with an extra couple of folds...

Using different sized diamond bases on each side...

Diamond bases on the front side, kite bases on the back side, then folding the outside tips of the kite bases to form an octagon...

Same thing flipped over...

Different kite bases folded differently.

Mixing kite and diamond bases on each side.

Cutting a sheet in quarters, and making diamond bases and fitting them over other diamond bases.

Kite bases one side, diamond bases the other.

Putting kite bases over diamond bases in the back...

The basic Poinsettia Star: diamond bases on both sides.

A star made from Hershey's candy wrappers!

Kite bases on both sides.

Diamond bases over kite bases.
